WWII fiction is the genre we’ve published more of than any other. It’s also one of the most crowded shelves on Amazon, so the hard part is rarely finding readers. They’re there, and they read fast. The hard part is being found among thousands of books with the same covers, titles, and keywords. That’s a positioning problem before it’s an advertising one, and it’s where most of the early work goes: the categories a book can honestly claim and still rank in, the subtitle and keywords, and a cover that holds up next to fifty others.
Readers here binge, mostly through Kindle Unlimited, and they follow a series to the end. So we plan for the series, not the single book: pricing, KU, and the back matter of book one all set up to carry a reader to the next.
The rest is what we do for every book: proofing, formatting, cover direction, an advance-reader campaign through NetGalley and BookFunnel, and ads tested small before they spend real money. We don’t promise sales. We promise the work, and a team that’s done this in your genre many times.
